About the SMSL VMV P2 MKII
From the product page on linsoul.com.
The VMV P2 MKII internally utilizes 99 pieces of low-noise operational amplifiers in a parallel configuration to simultaneously meet the high-voltage swing requirements of high-impedance headphones and the high-current demands of low-impedance headphones. This architecture significantly reduces output impedance and enhances instantaneous current delivery capability, achieving a powerful output of 14W×2 into 16Ω and 8W×2 into 32Ω. Whether driving demanding planar magnetic headphones or high-sensitivity IEMs, the P2 MKII handles them with ease.
The VMV P2 MKII adopts a true fully balanced signal path, featuring differential amplification from input to output to eliminate common-mode noise. Four channels of ultra-low distortion Precision Linear Feedback Circuit (PLFC+) work together, achieving a total harmonic distortion plus noise as low as 0.00006% and a signal-to-noise ratio as high as 135dB. This means what you hear is almost exactly what the recording originally sounded like — nothing added, nothing lost.
Traditional headphone amplifier power supplies often compromise between efficiency and noise. The VMV P2 MKII pioneers the integration of a high-power, high-efficiency, low-noise Gallium Nitride (GaN) switching power supply. GaN devices bring extremely low switching losses and ripple interference, providing ample and stable energy reserves while making the background as dark as deep night — allowing even the faintest musical details to emerge with stunning clarity.
